Lighting The Bonfire

Forty-foot flames and four miles of bonfires, there’s nothing quite like the annual “Papa Noel” bonfires they burn along the levee near Grammercy, LA. Legend has it the old Cajun Santa used them as d.i.y. navigationals back in the day. Beer, diesel, and pyromania had nothing to do with it..

Amazing, too, the stuff you overhear on a vid soundtrack; check out the lady asking for assistance for her kid because he’s “scared of the fire” (smart kid). The bottle rockets and screamers every 10 seconds add to the fun.
